Urb is the president and founder of E-Government. He is the principle architect behind the E-Government Content Management System (CMS.) Urb has a doctorate in Computer Science from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and is the author of three Internet related books and numerous articles on programming and the Internet. His insightful series of PHP form handling articles appears on the O'Reilly website
When Urb was a professor of Computer Science at Stockton State College in NJ, he has his first exposure to the Internet in 1987. He was instrumental in bringing the Internet to Stockton and also developed and offered a course title "Exploring Science Using the Internet" in 1991. This may have been the first course offered for college credit where the main thrust was the Internet.
In 1994 Urb authored the "Mosaic and Web EXplorer" which was the first major book on the use of the Internet for non-technical people. Urb has been designing and producing commercial websites since 1994.
Phil is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his 35 years of software experience he has excelled in all areas of software sales and sales management. He has designed marketing programs around the concept of listening to the needs of the customer and providing solutions to handle those needs.
Phil has had numerous public speaking engagements on areas such as customer service, what to look for in a new software system, inventory management and more. Phil has also run 3-day seminars on software sales and brings those concepts with him to E-Government.com.
He has also designed and led programming teams in implementing complex software applications which gives him a rare background for the leader of our sales efforts. He's the rare sales individual who completely understands the needs of our customers.
Pat Vogel is Vice President of Training and Support. Pat holds a Doctorate in Education from Temple and has over 20 years of educational experience from kindergarten to College level. She has been actively involved with the Internet since 1994 and E-Government for the past five years.
It was Pat's idea to offer completely free websites to Historical Societies.
Jason is the E-Government graphics maven and holds a BFA degree from the University of Montana. Jason is also our resident CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) expert. CSS, when taken to the level employed by Jason, totally separate a website's design from its content. Jason is in charge of upgrading the E-Government Content Management System (CMS) with “strict” CSS. When completed this feature enables website administrator to make minor cosmetic changes, such as color and font size as they currently do. In addition, the new system allows administrators the option to select a totally different look and feel for their websites.
