  • Search the site
  • Items in the navigation bar expand to show page content
  • Site map

    See below for details.

Our best ideas come from our users. We look forward to hearing from you. Please use the Feedback Form to let us know what you want included/added to the site and your thoughts about the site. Just click on the link below.

Our Feedback Page

New Graphical User Interface (GUI)

A true windows style GUI (Graphical User Interface) can now be used to enter content. Click on the bullets icon and text will be bulleted. Click on bold and view highlighted text in bold. And best of all, it will display right in the entry box the same as it shows on the web providing WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) functionality.

This functionality is currently installed in our newsletters and will be added to the rest of the site shortly.

Publish after approval

Existing customers are used to this in specific areas of the site like the calendar of events. We will shortly have this available in other areas where people already have limited access to site maintenance. In these areas, you will have the ability to allow them to post changes to content, but these changes will not be published until approved by the site administrator.

Search the Site

E-Government.com has added a new search function to all pages on the site. Rather than guess where something like "marriage License" might be, visitors can just enter it into the new search box and find it instantly.

Using leading search technology, all of the content on your site will now be searchable. Visitors to your site will be pleased to see the look and feel that they have become used to with today's search leaders. And the best part, is that this happens with no need for any action by you. It's all automatic.

We have programmed a spider to go through the site to find changes and new content. The default is once per week, but you can change that as desired. If you've done a lot of updating that you want to add to the search right away, simply choose the option in the administration page and the search will automatically update itself at any time.

Navigation Bar

The navigation bar is that column on each page that shows the top level pages on your site. It now expands to show all of the pages in a section when the top level section is clicked on with a mouse.

Site Map

For a full view of the site content, just visit the newly enhanced site map to see what's there. This is also a great organization tool for the site administrators to help determine where new pages belong.

Pickup Schedule

If you get lots of calls from constituents asking when trash, recyclables or bulk is scheduled to be picked up at their location, then you'll love this new functionality.

Residents simply enter their street name and then choose their address from the list. As an example, if they live on Franklin Turnpike and the street is divided into two pickup zones, they might see:

Pickup Zone Street Name
Area B Franklin Turnpike (#509 - #1013)
Area A Franklin Turnpike (#8 - #505)

Once they click on the line with their address, they'll see the pickup schedules for trash, recycling (could be multiple if newspapers are picked up on a different schedule from bottles, etc.) and bulk. Each municipality defines it's own breakdown and list of pickup items.
