Adding A Press Release

Adding
a Press Release

Let's start
out by adding a new press release. Say Dino and I just made a breakthrough
in amino acids and want to announce the release of our new product utilizing
this discovery. We begin by clicking onto the "Add a Press Release" button
on the Administrative Menu. Dino tells me he likes to do the clicking,
so I let him, just a helpful hint.

Add
a Press Release Menu

A. Now
we are on a new page. It says News Bureau at the top. There is a long
form underneath. Let's fill it out, starting with the drop bar that says
"Contact." This is like the signature of the press release, and it is
required. The contact space lets the readers know who specifically has
written the press release.

B. Since
the program is designed for your organization, the list of contacts should
include people from your organization who commonly write press releases.
My list of contacts includes myself and Dino. I'm going to drop the bar
and choose Dino since he says I always take the credit for everything.
When you're writing, you can choose your own name.

C.
Now we choose the
category under which our new release falls. Dino and I have categories
such as Taste Testing, New Products, and Hunting Competitions. Yours will
be different according to your organization. We'll choose New Products.
If we wanted to choose more than one category, we would hold the control
key down while we selected.

D. Next
we have to title the release. This is a mandatory step. Our release is
called "Try You Some Amino Food!" Dino, you are neither creative, nor
gramatic, I swear.

E. Next
we enter the body; this is also mandatory. If you try to broadcast your
release without completing the mandatory parts, you'll be informed of
what you're missing, so don't fret about forgetting something important.

F. Now
look around the edges of the form, you will see blue buttons. One says
Preview, and the other says Add/Broadcast. We can choose Preview to see
how the release will look to our readers, and finally, we click on Add/broadcast
to save the release and send it to all our interested consumers. Voila!
We have completed the most important task in the PressRelease program.
