Adding
a New Media Person
Dino and I will now show you
how to become a media member. You first click on the "Add a New Media
Person" button on the Administrative menu.
Add New
Media Person Menu
You will then have a page with
an information form. You can fill this form out for yourself or for someone
else. The first page establishes you with a user name and a password.
In order to edit a media profile in the future, you have to know the person's
user name and password, so when you create a new one, don't forget this
information. Dino's user name is Dino, and his password is sonofagun.
I have to remember it for him because he always forgets it when we try
to update his profile. No I don't. That's enough out of you, Dino. There
are some information spaces in the profile which are marked with blue
asterisks. These are required and you will not be allowed to complete
the form or to become a member without completing them. The point of becoming
a media member is to choose one or more categories of interest on your
profile so that whenever a press release that is written about something
of interest to you comes out, it is immediately e-mailed to you upon release.
It is possible for public consumers to become media members as well by
filling out a profile on the public PressRelease.Net web site.
Editing
a Media Profile
Once you have created your
own or someone else's media profile, you can edit it at any time. We need
to edit Dino's profile because, as you know, he has the new name. We first
click onto the "Edit a Media Profile" button on the Administrative Menu.
Edit
a Media Profile Menu
We have a screen with a box
where we need to type the user identification and password. So we type
"Dino" and then we type "Sonofagun." Dino's profile is pulled up and we
can simply type in the changes we need to make. When the entire profile
is correct, we press the red Submit button to save changes.
You've followed Dino and I
all the way through this great program. We know you love it and have a
big old sense of accomplishment from learning how to use the system so
well, as we do from teaching it. So congratulations to you and us! Give
me some skin, Dino. Dino! Careful, Dino! Not so much skin!!!!! Dinoooooo…….(It's
dangerous having a Dinosaur.)
